'C' is funny to see these old photos, I returned to Ford in '76, I was 16, the first picture gives the ambiance, the sacred Y'avait lads at the time. Should we say it felt a like in prison, was not mixed, and although most went home on weekends, some who lived too far not returned for the Christmas holidays, Easter or summer ones. I only stayed that a year and it's not so bad, really Y'avait an atmosphere of toilets. I remember the first night of the season where we were gathered in the courtyard waiting to go to the canteen, it was tight against each other so we watched the biggest in a suspicious manner. The following days we tried an "exit" from the herd and it failed, each time Y'avait the 3rd year we fell on it to get us our fags, if smoking was not hazing "tells us a story" or "sing us a song," falait not fall over in a hallway, I remember one that had cracked and Castres who always had a dagger stashed in her boots motorcycle, he playfully toss on the first year. One evening after the food was a civil herd 3rd years who was waiting downstairs to the canteen, y 'was one who wanted me to roll a shovel, I had narrowly escaped. The pieces were mostly on their side, you could complain to anyone denounce it, too, were the first to hazing, once our stud had stripped a "small" class and asked him to walk like an ostrich everyone. It was really disgusting. Eve evening of holidays there were raids on dormitories, the first year course were eligible for the 2nd and 3rd descents years pawns left to do. They massed in two or three duffel to a film more weight, while others dived for cover in the canteen to fill duffel pillowcases, other rangers put their inside, I can tell you it hurt! once they have a guy locked in a closet and threw the cabinet through the window of the 2nd floor. Bullying and hazing did not stop, they steins guys, put them naked, cold shower, cock waxing, they locked them up in the mattress covers and put them in the elevator to the floor of the headmaster or I know more that. In short it was the horror of teachers were alcolos, only one was really nice and was on our side was the sports teacher, I know well what his name Laflèche or a name like that. He was really good. Several friends had tried to run away. In short I made a year but I regret it, ah! I forgot when it came out of Ford in because there was a tradition: a guy yelled "what is said at the Ford?" and everyone said: "MEEERDE!" "

Operators: Nico SV3SJ (aka F5VIH / CN2NS), Philippe F6IFY (aka CN2PN), Patrick F6IRF (aka CN2WW)
Station: IC7000 + amp / 500W
160: dipole
80/40: 2elts wire-Yagis (matched With a pair of multi-CWS/W2FMU UNUN
transformers)
20/15: 2elts SteppIR
10m vertical dipole (we spare SteppIR fiber element) - Just
used to monitor permanently 10m (designed and built by Nico Less than 30 minutes)
All antennas located on Terrra the "beach house" (Holiday residence for wealthy Moroccans - deserted at this season) facing the ocean, and at about 35m above the sea level to about 200m distant.
Accessories: IBM ThinkPad, N1MM-logger microKEYER, ICE-band filters, etc. .. No Internet connection, no access cluster ...

And one more from Morocco, "potentially" a new African record!
Station (dx-ped style) was built from scratch in a day and a half, and dismounted in half a day on Monday ... (Given the problems of corrosion, due to the proximity of the sea, Andre HB9HLM decided to turn everything on his last trip ... I must say that the
2years A3S was already practically fucking ... Y ' has to see the advanced state of decomposition of air conditioners quntité or sea salt accumulated on the mast fiber in just 3 days).
In fact everything would be ready for the Thursday night, but a remote control cables crossing the steppe and a bad contact in the MFJ SO239 making us suspecting a bad connector mounted, we lost a lot of time .. .
The wire-beam has been a breeze to set ... impedance values / measured bandwidth, very similar models NEC2 (22ohms 80, 36ohms of 40). It remained to choose the correct ports on the "multis UNUN's" and that was it. I will describe the setup procedure later if it y 'has that sort of person ...

The pleasant surprise was the entry of 80m ... with rats worthy of a 15m (> 350 on 10QSO). All that ends with son and a PA to "trot" (it is very old and tired, and the PSU gives qqs signs of weakness!). Though I have full confidence in the simulations, I was still surprised!
The wire-beam 80 (dipole/directeur- 8m boom) with its vertical signals protecting us from big East-Europeans, and other manipulations due to slamming nbx FT1000 service (Yaesu thank you!) Is quickly revealed a "killer" (we spent the 50 multiple of the first night, with signals on W6/W7 amazing) On 40, which used the same materials (the tower and a 12m fiber mat z "spiderbeam"), the antenna was optimized for gain max (8m spacing
it is impossible to get a good A / R with 2). Restropectivement it would have been preferable to add an intermediate support and make a 3 ... but hey, we already 10kgs excess baggage ... everything is always about compromise! In general
condx were excellent on the 3 lowest bands, with very little QRN. The 160 was worthy of the HES, with weak signals, but not static (just the white noise of the band).
The 15m was really good surprise with a SSN raz daisies ... and of course, no "miracle" has occurred for the 10m, despite the prayers of our friends Said ...

Side gear, was the first serious contest with the IC7000 ... a marvel! Everyone loved it ... no temperature problems, and filters worthy of Pro3 ... All that in a "pocket" (it is smaller than the 706) ... Icom has really pulled out a small jewelry for OM-passenger ... As usual, N1MM ran without a glitch ... Just qqs aptation problems with Philippe mode ESM (Enter Sends Messsage). It must be said in passing charier for a bit, when Philip even managed the feat of repeated VY2TT to, when we already had 4 bands and the whole world knows it's IEP! (I have proof! - He had to ask "is that these charlots?").

As at end of cycle 23, or at the beginning of the 24 (no one knows at this point), I do not think it was possible to break a record established in 93 African, with NHS around 100 ... Anyway, I think we did (remain cautious, however!). In fact, everything is played on 20m Sunday evening, or the band has been open almost one hour and a half more than the previous day and it was enough ...

End credits:
- Choukrane CN8PA to Mohamed for his valuable logistical support for its vital contribution to the assembly and for his driving in the traffic maze and incredible Casa.
Without him everything would have been much more complicated!
- Thanks to Andre HB9HLM having us once again praised his apartment, and the direction of the "beach house" for giving us permission to access land, and install our "mess" for the duration of weekend.
- Choukrane friends of Rabat CN8LI Said, and Said Qasim CN8LR CN8WW their hand, be it for physical assistance, lending stuff rescue facilitation procedures with the administration, etc. ...
- Thanks to Iberia for giving us the gift 10kgs of excess, and especially to have our luggage delivered to time and time at Casa. Given the schedule "tight" of experience;
lost only one carry in Madrid had been a catamaran!
- Grazzi was Elena and Stefano IK2QEI (CN3A team) for their visit last week in Dar Bouazza. An unforgettable evening. Stefano has so much history contests, and so much talent for the telling (with hands, as it should be!), We've all forgotten that we were put out! Like what we can be competitive and maintain cordial relations, and be both a "top-world challenge" and a nice guy! We left

Mohamed Mohamed V airport, Wednesday at 11am, with many projects in my head!
So soon from Morocco ... In Shallah! For the team

What Do A Hymen Look Like

cap ceramic decoration from 1983 to 1986

Pictures Catherine Siguret Girault

The 1st CAP ceramic decoration on the Ford!

Christopher Nenesse, Maid ball (Thierry) and Fabrice.
When we had too much money, we went to the canal on a small sandy beach to spend the after noon on Wednesday.

bisutage The 1st of the year in late June ... Therouanne ending a little bad for me with a twist!

Vengeance!

BBQ End of exams and forced swimming in coffee off with the 2 teachers of decoration on ceramics (lower left). The boss had lent us his barbecue.

Once a month we tried to go to the restaurant (pizza, crepes or couscous) you had to save on transport bus by hitchhiking.
There were several sections (ceramics, building painter, kitchen, etc ...)
It went with our teacher workshop, Bertrand (I'm in the foreground right and next to me is our teacher deco ceramics).

Christophe, Franck and myself.
Christmas at Ford, we had put in gouache on hair!
